POV 1.5 Helmet Camera: The new POV1.5 Action Camera is a fully integrated point-of-view (POV) video system that's waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant. The system includes a mountable camera head, built-in video recorder, wireless remote, mounts, 4Gb SDHC Card and software for managing your point-of-view videos. The POV1.5 is the successor to the incredibly popular and ground breaking POV.1 with the main differences being that the new version can take up to an 8Gb card; it comes with a FREE 4Gb card; the camera head is permanently tethered to the cable; there are video tutorials included on a CD; and there is a really stylish and surprisingly practical new mounting kit included. The POV1.5 can be used by every sports person and is perfect if you do a range of different sports as it can adapt to all different environments and has adaptable mounts included that allow you to mount the camera head to almost anything that you can think of. The recorder can be taken 1m underwater and the camera head can go down to 10m. There is an H2O accessory available to make the recorder waterproof down to 3m. Filming is made easy with the VIO POV1.5 wireless remote which works up to 3 meters without requiring line-of-sight. Once the camera is set up then the remote is all you need to operate it. The POV1.5 will take up to a 8Gb card, giving you 42mins per GB at 720 x 480 which is the highest resolution and this is close to DVD quality, and yes, that does add up to over 5 and a half hours of recording time! To download the footage from the POV1.5 you can insert the SD card into your computer or simply connect the POV1.5 directly to your computer with the supplied USB cable. It's that simple. * Full waterproofing allows you to use the POV.1 in any conditions from Kayaking to Snow Boarding. * The Wireless Remote Control is a terrific advantage when compared to other cameras available on the market. This works with Radio Frequency Technology so that it doesn't need "line-of-sight" to operate. * A range of adaptable mounts for mounting the camera head to just about anything. There is a C-Clamp that holds the camera tightly in place and the clamp is attached to one of two mount attachments; the first is a base plate which has holes for Velcro strapping or cable ties, there are adhesive pads that you can use to stick it onto a flat surface. The second mount attachment is a handle bar mount that fits all standard sized bicycle and motorbike handlebars; this has also been mounted to the bars of hand gliders and the like. If you would like to extend the recording time you can browse through the menu and lower the resolution; at the lowest res you can record 15hrs44mins onto a 2Gb SD card.
